International freight forwarder
With globalisation, transporting goods long distance is growing in importance. An international freight forwarder organises and is fully responsible for transport across national borders and is the coordinator between shipper and haulier. Upon a deal being closed the international freight forwarder makes a profit on the freight price paid. The offers are, for example, found in international freight and vehicle exchanges. Further to the matter of transportation the international freight forwarder arranges additional logistics services such as warehousing or documentation and customs.
